|Full Title||Field Experience in Social Work|
|Description||A minimum of eight units (four in Social Work 489A and four in Social Work 489B) is required. Students spend 16 hours per week per semester in practice field assignments in selected social work agencies or settings.|
|Prerequisite||Completion of all 300-level social work courses; Social Work 381 and 382 with a grade of C or better and consent of instructor; arrangements made during prior semester with director of undergraduate field education. Concurrent registration in Social Work 483A for students taking 489A and Social Work 483B for students taking 489B.|
Students enrolling in this course must also enroll in a section of 483A.
This course will meet from 1400 - 1545 in GMCS 306 on the following dates: 8/26, 9/2, 9/9, 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/14, 10/28, 11/18, 12/2
Section offered using hybrid teaching format: Additional required online course material will complement the classroom meetings to complete the unit requirements for the course.
Enrollment in this section entails participation in experiential learning and/or internship. These experiences can occur on-campus or off-campus. Additional requirements may apply.
Only students with a declared major in this department may register for this class.
