|Description||Algebraic and transcendental functions. Continuity and limits. The derivative and its applications. The integral and the fundamental theorem of calculus.|
|Prerequisite||Knowledge of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry as demonstrated by either (1) satisfactory completion of Mathematics 141 with a grade of C (2.0) or better; or (2) qualification on the Mathematics Placement Assessment. Proof of completion of prerequisites required.|
|Course Hours||Three lectures and two hours of activity.|
Computer - enforced prerequisite. As noted in the SDSU general catalog, enrollment in Math 124 and Math150, is limited to those students who have either 1) completed Math 141 (or equivalent) with a grade of 'C' or better, or 2) satisfied the SDSU Mathematics/Quantitative Reasoning Assessment Requirement and passed the SDSU Mathematics Placement Assessment. Students will not be able to register for Math 124 or Math 150 until they have satisfied these prerequisites and that information has been posted to their student records. This course will hold a group midterm that will meet outside of its scheduled class meeting time. Please refer to the syllabus for dates, times and additional information.
