Description | Basic concepts of calculus with life science applications. Topics from differential and integral calculus and an introduction to elementary differential equations. Computer applications to biological problems. Not open to students with credit in Mathematics 150. |
Prerequisite | Knowledge of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry as demonstrated by either (1) satisfactory completion of Mathematics 141 with a grade of C (2.0) or above; or (2) qualification on the Mathematics Placement Assessment. Proof of completion of prerequisites required. |

Computer - enforced prerequisite. As noted in the SDSU general catalog, enrollment in Math 124 and Math150, is limited to those students who have either 1) completed Math 141 (or equivalent) with a grade of 'C' or better, or 2) satisfied the SDSU Mathematics/Quantitative Reasoning Assessment Requirement and passed the SDSU Mathematics Placement Assessment. Students will not be able to register for Math 124 or Math 150 until they have satisfied these prerequisites and that information has been posted to their student records.
