|Description||Campus and community archives, museums, government, and other historical agencies. Emphasis on critical analysis, writing and historiography.|
|Prerequisite||History 400 with a Grade of C (2.0) or better and a minimum of 15 upper division units in history.|
Students are required to provide instructor with transcript to validate completion of History 400, must have received a C or better, failure to do this will result in student being dropped from this course.
Enrollment in this course is contingent upon a portfolio review. Bring a portfolio containing graded copies of your best history paper, your History 400 term paper, plus one paragraph describing what you want from an internship to the first class meeting. For further suggestions about internship portfolios, see Dr. Elkind's web page. A caution: successful internships require self-motivated students to dedicate at least 10 hours per week to their projects.
