|Description||Training in fundamental processes of oral expression; method of obtaining and organizing material; outlining; principles of attention and delivery; practice in construction and delivery of various forms of speeches. Not open to students with credit in Africana Studies 140 or Chicana and Chicano Studies 111A.|
|Course Hours||One lecture and two hours of recitation.|
Both Synchronous and Asynchronous: (S) = Two days a week, the online coursework is provided through direct faculty instruction and academic activities at the times and days listed in the Class Schedule, with additional time slots for office hours. (A) = One hour of instruction and educational activities will be through asynchronous pre-recorded and interactive videos. Please see the syllabus for details.
Distance education course. All class meetings and activities take place online.
This course must be taken for letter grade in order to satisfy communication and critical thinking section of general education.
This course will hold a group midterm that will meet outside of its scheduled class meeting time. Please refer to the syllabus for dates, times and additional information.
