Description Structure and function of the nervous system to include cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying neuronal excitability and synaptic function, nervous system development, cellular and systems analysis of sensory, motor and higher brain functions. Emphasis on experimental approaches.
Prerequisite Biology 366 or 590 or Psychology 360 for psychology majors.
General Text Writing Requirement: Completion of the Graduation Writing Assessment Requirement or the eligibility to enroll in an upper division writing course is a prerequisite for all upper division biology courses numbered 450 and above.
