Full Title Principles of Cell and Molecular Biology Laboratory
Description Laboratory experiences designed to demonstrate and reinforce concepts presented in lecture through active scientific investigation and experiences in observing, identifying, describing, and explaining evolution of cellular processes, and in applying laboratory methods and procedures relevant to molecular biology.
Prerequisite Concurrent registration or credit with a grade of C (2.0) or better in Biology 203 and statisfaction of the SDSU Written Communication Assessment requirement.
Course Hours Three hours of laboratory.
Statement Same course as laboratory portion of Biology 201A. Biology 203 and 203L formerly numbered Biology 201A.

Statement: It is strongly recommended that students have a solid foundation in the principles of chemistry as taught in CHEM200 or its equivalent, and competency in mathematics at the level of MATH140 College Algebra or MATH141 Pre-calculus, or their equivalent.

Students will meet for face-to-face lab instruction ~every 3 weeks (about 4 lab sessions per semester). Students will have virtual synchronous participation on the other non Face to Face instruction weeks. Students will be divided into smaller groups, each group meeting in person one week, and virtually the other weeks as assigned. Please note that the Face to Face meeting frequency may change. See course syllabus for details.
